Caribou Antler Uluit Studs
These are hand-carved pieces of caribou antler, shaped in a beautiful ulu form. Uluit (ulu - traditional Inuit women's knife; uluit is more than one) are very important to Inuit women, as they are used for many tasks, including butchering of harvested animals and preparation of the skins for use as clothing/sled dog harnesses).
(This caribou was harvested in Nunavut and provided many families with nourishment and warmth.)
